In November four year 8 students were invited to Plymouth
University for a Mathematics masterclass. The students had a
great time and even presented to the whole group of students
from across the city. Here is a report from one of the group.
On 27 th of November four of us went with our teacher, Eva to
Plymouth University to take part in a day of maths challenges.
We went to the Fitzroy building for the event, where we met
students from other schools who had also been invited. The
day included mathematical patterns and prime and square
number puzzles. Many of the activities were very challenging.
My favourite part of the day was making bracelet patterns with
numbers. I enjoyed it immensely, even though I was tired out
by the end, with all of the brain work!
