Last week, year 5 went on their first trip as part of the Widening Horizons project ran by The Millfields Inspired Trust. This is our second year of participating in this amazing project which aims to show children the huge range of careers available to them in their future.
Our first trip was to the Marine Aquarium where the year 5s were taken behind the scenes to meet the people who work there. They met marine biologists, scientists, hosts, caters, cleaners and administrators and learnt the import roles they perform within the aquarium. As you can see from our photos the year 5s loved it!

So pleased they enjoyed the trip! I was very impressed with how well they worked together as a team during the ‘being a scientist’ session in the afternoon. Well done year 5s!
