In the last week of last half term year 4 engaged with the countryside at Colehayes Manor House.
We stayed in the beautiful manor house for three days and two nights. whilst we were there we took part in a huge range of activities including a disco, fishing for leeches, exploring by the pond, interacting with wildlife, gymnastics, football, stargazing, outdoor making, parachute games, acting animals, island hopping, fancy dining, face painting, rounders, photography and much more! After all of these activities the children were exhausted, the teachers more so!
We wanted to share our experiences with our families and friends at home. To do this we extended our trip and went out for the day to the Emerge space at Ocean Studios. Whilst here, we continued to be artists thinking about what we could make to share our most memorable moment with our friends. One of the masterpieces was a paper mâché goose. This goose was memorable to some of us because we visited his island. It seemed as though he did not like us very much so we had to make out island trip a short one!
