That was the question that Year 6 children took with them when out and about on our visit to “Union Corner’ and ‘The Clipper’, this week.
As a team, we were really impressed with the enthusiasm that the majority of our pupils displayed when listening and talking to a varied selection of people from our local area. Our trip which was hosted by Nudge, ensured the children got to explore two spaces within walking distance of our school, that have been ’nudged’ by the community action group, and used to support bettering our area. As well as a lunchtime break, in the sunshine, in a local park.
The trip out had a lovely vibe and had many of our students, questioning what ‘community’ means to them; something that we will be focusing on for our PBL project…watch this space for how it develops
