Yesterday was a huge day in the Plymouth School of Creative Arts calendar, the official opening of our wonderful school The Red House!
The celebrations were kicked off by students parading around the perimeter of the school; banging drums, chanting and waving flags. Students then welcomed in their families to come and have a look around. Students from Years 3 ,4, 7 and 8 shared their making projects and gave families a real feel for what it is to learn here.
The evening celebrations saw the arrival of a very special visitor, Nicholas Serota Director of the Tate. Some of our students were lucky enough to interview and photograph Nicholas.
The evening was made all the richer by a wonderful performance from the school choir lead by Amy and visitors were also welcomed with nibbles created and served by the culinary arts team of students lead by Andy.
We are very proud of our school and excited about our future!
