This term, Year 1 have been reading the book ‘River Story’ by Meredith Hooper, which tells the story of a river’s journey from source to mouth. In the style of the author, we have written our individual river story journeys, with a particular emphasis placed upon how to use descriptive language effectively. At the same time, our children have also explained their geographical understanding of the physical journey all rivers may take to get from source to mouth. ¬†Here some of our children reading out specific paragraphs (from their individual stories), for each stage in their collaborative journey, in this instance.
