On Wednesday 12th February, Reception went to visit the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth to help conclude their topic ‘Ocean Explorers’, researching information to support our the question ‘What do we love about the sea?’. The children covered topics such as plastic pollution, rock pool life, as well as learning lots of information about sharks, via our literacy text ‘surprising sharks’. The children amazed Marina the mermaid with their knowledge of sea creatures! We also worked to create our own model of a shark which will soon be displayed in the small atrium!
