This weeks student voice session saw students learning how to assess job applications. They analysed three different mock applications for the post of a secondary English teacher. When analysing applications Jess in year 8 said: “This teacher has a lower grade in this particular subject, but if his teaching method is good then that is what matters” Xander in year 9 said: “I think that this one would have a higher chance than the other because they have more experience with English”.
Students also had the opportunity to vote for their favourite youth parliament candidates. Students were able to select 2 candidates from a possible 6 that were competing to be a youth parliament representative for Plymouth. This weeks student voice photographer was Harlen! “I like to walk around and have a good experience of what photography is like”.
