This week a group of year 9 and 11 culinary art students went to city college for a hospitality day which included sensory food tasting, exploring food, cheese demo, fish workshop, life at college and setting up a pop restaurant workshops and a general intro into college activities and they enjoyed a free lunch.
It was noted by the organisers and chef lecturers how engaged, skilled, knowledgeable, mature, well mannered our students were, always lovely to get sort of feedback.
They thoroughly enjoyed the day which in turn has led to several of the chefs and hospitality professionals volunteering to come to our school to do some cookery demos and talk about the cookery profession and introduce a week long college enrichment course for our students.
3 of our students came away with book prizes and all with goodie bags filled with vegetables to take home.
