During the last half term the Yr3 children have been exploring what composition means to them. They did this by exploring the very nature of composition, what did it mean? how could I compose? what tools will I need? From this, many children looked at specific instruments or recording technology through ‘play to connect’.
From here the children were given the theme of time and invited to workshops around songwriting structure and texture in music. This song written by Kate, Ashley and Reuben in Yr3 (performed by Kate) is a prime example of the wonderful link between literacy and music and the truly wonderful learning child led learning promotes.
