Are you involved with any school teams or clubs? Do you like trying new things? Would you like an Award to go on your CV, before you’ve even taken any exams?
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme can make use of the activities you are already involved in, as well as introducing you to new ideas, whilst helping you to achieve one of the top 5 most valued qualifications in the country. Most of you will already be doing what you need to, to qualify for an Award, so let us help you to make it official! To date, PSCA students have obtained both Bronze and Silver Awards, with the crowning achievement being their expeditions. The Awards culminate with you spending two or three days on Dartmoor, as part of a team, working on your own without adult input, the perfect way to demonstrate your qualities as a DofE Award winner!
If you’d like to know more, please come along to our presentation evening on Tuesday July 9th, at 6.30pm in the Theatre. There will be a short presentation, explaining the full workings of The Award Scheme, an opportunity to ask questions, and you’ll be able to sign up, so that you’re ready to start working for your Award in September.
