Late last night, by the cover of quiet and darkness, when all the Bee’s were asleep in their hives, Plymouth School of Creative Arts accepted a very special and exciting delivery of two Bee colony’s to create our very own roof top apiary.
This has been the culmination of many months of planning and collaboration with local community interest company Tamar Grow Local. This is a relationship that we will continue to develop over the course of this year, as Tamar Grow local will be running training for the school community and will be returning in the Autumn to help the school harvest its honey crop. Special thanks goes to the PTFA for sponsoring the second hive. We are very excited about what the future holds for our new resident bees and look forward to lots of yummy honey in the Autumn and all the delicious things we can make with it!
