A flotilla of colourful yachts goes bobbing by!
Students from year 3 and 4 have been making boats. Students have been learning about the design process , from paper to product. They have developed new skills in wood work and have combined these with their textiles skills to produce this delightful flotilla of yachts.
Students work alongside Plymouth College of Art Students to make media!
This four week project saw students from Plymouth School of Creative Arts work alongside ED Creative Media students from Plymouth college of Art to explore the theme of the future. The YR4 students concocted some incredible stories that included lasers, dinosaurs, rockets, tornados to name but a few of the ambitious affects.
ED Creative media met the YR4 students at PSCA and talked through their ideas, YR4 then visited PCA part way through the project to check on progress and get involved with the production. Some students filmed independently at the school and some wonderful footage was shot. Two screenings took place, one at the school and one up at the art college to celebrate the wonderful work achieved by all!

Students explore the affect of exercise on their bodies
Stduents within years 3 and 4 looked at the topic of exercise. Using the outline of a figure on paper, students went outside and recorded the effects of different movements on their bodies, from breathlessness, being hot and tired legs etc. They returned to the class and illustrated the figures with the effects that they had recorded.
As you can see the posters varied a lot in detail. Well done year 3 and 4, a great piece of work.
