Every Wednesday after school, an ever growing number of girls from Years 7, 8 and 9 gather for an hour to play football. It is run by Jess Shapiro, who is most co-operative with what the students want to do for warm ups and also the sort of game’s we would like to play. The club is for girls who don’t need to have had any previous experience, so anyone can come and enjoy themselves whilst getting fit. It’s a great example of the ‘This Girl Can’ campaign, which can be an empowering experience for any young woman. Currently, we are not a competitive team. However, we are hoping to develop a team which is confident at partaking in competitions against other schools. We look forward to hopefully seeing more fresh faces!
