On January 23rd, 24th and 25th, 2017, students and staff from PSCA and Plymouth College of Art (PCA) will be taking up residence in London as part of the Tate Exchange project.
A group of students, staff, parents and practitioners are travelling from Plymouth to London to explore a new horizon for their creative learning. They will make a school inside Tate Modern and make an inquiry into their own learning within this highly distinctive visual environment and in the public gaze. Together, gallery, school and public will co-construct learning through making, and bring that learning back to Plymouth to share.
Students and staff have begun working and planning together, and we met as one group earlier this week. 12 students from both the college and our school have been selected to take part directly. However, it is our intention that everyone in our school is invited to contribute. Therefore, any parents and students who wish to travel up to London for this on one or all of the dates should submit an absence request form to be ‘educated offsite’ and may make the journey to join us. We will also be running parallel events in Plymouth at school and at PCA during the three days.
