This year has flown by for Arts and Humanities, we can’t believe that the academic year is almost over. There has been so much focus and engagement from the students and it has been a pleasure and a joy to see them grow and develop as learners.

This term has seen us in Arts and Humanities, for both Year 7 and 8 look at “Plymouth – Our City” through the lenses of Art, Geography, History and R.E. Looking at our city and how it has changed and adapted to events around it. We have had workshops on photoshop and print making, the quality and care being demonstrated was of a very high standard. Other students have been looking at the Blitz that befell Plymouth during then Second World War and the affect it had on the city.  The ideas and understanding shown has been extremely good and shown great levels of empathy and thought.

During this week students from year 7 & 8, and those doing Art courses in year 9 & 10 visited PCA Pre Degree Shows at Palace Court.  This was a wonderful opportunity to see the high quality work on display and have the opportunity to develop a knowledge of the courses available post 16.

Below are some photos of the opening of the exhibition.
