Music filled the air on Thursday 5th July as Plymouth School of Creative Arts played host to the fabulous and talented band of HM Royal Marines concert band and rock band.  It was such an honour and privilege to host the band as part of Diversity week events throughout the school.

Over 150 students from years 1 – 10, had the wonderful experience of participating in instrumental workshops in the morning.  Pupils in years 9 and 10 also had the opportunity to learn more about career prospects through HM Royal Marines Band Service.

After a short break over 30 pupils and our GCSE Music students had the opportunity to perform alongside the band for a concert which the whole school and staff attended and really enjoyed.  The concert also featured the Drum Corps, who delighted the audience with their skills and fancy uniform! The highlight was the performance of Three Lions (it’s coming home) and a theatre full of students and staff bursting into song!

We really value using photos, video and audio recordings of our students, to be able to showcase what students do in school and show what life at our school is like to others. In line with recent changes to data protection laws (GDPR) we have had to ask all parents to resubmit their consents for any photos, video or audio recordings of their children (other than for educational purposes).

Thanks to everyone who has completed the form so far.
