Students and staff at Plymouth School of Creative Arts have spent today remembering victims of conflict. Students and staff across the school observed the two minute silence at 11am, with Year One students walking up to The Plymouth Naval War Memorial on the Hoe to observe this. Students in Year One made a wonderful mural of poppies created by their hand prints, which they displayed outside their studio. Students in Reception also created some beautiful, poppy inspired art works as a way to remember those we have lost in conflict. Staff members Renata and Ange crocheted beautiful poppies and sold these to raise money for The Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.

Making time to Remember

The children have had a brilliant insight into learning about remembering those lost during war. Well done.
