Plymouth School of Creative Arts now has Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme groups up and running! Both groups meet after school, with 18 students across both groups, who are now undertaking the activities they need to achieve their Awards. Students are taking part in things as diverse as supporting the early years Breakfast Club, to playing on the school netball team, to training to become a martial arts coach! Students now have time to focus on achieving the average requirement of 1 hour per activity per week, before we start to focus on expedition training as we approach the return to school after Easter.
Keep your eyes peeled for more news of how our students are doing at reaching their targets, and probably a photo or two of them falling in bogs as they train for their expeditions!
Any parents who have expedition training or experience would be most welcome to join us in planning and delivering our training. Please contact Chris on cjones@schoolofcreativearts.co.uk to find out more.
