We are vey excited to have launched our new PBL (Project Based Learning) project in Phase Two this week. Our next project will be part of the Constructing Excellence scheme where schools work closely with industry and help bridge that gap. Our next project is inspired by a national competition run by Design, Engineer, Construct! The children will be working in groups to design a home for anyone, from the very young to the very old, disabled and not, fit and not. More details can be found on http://designengineerconstruct.com/competitions/home-everyone-design-challenge/
On Tuesday, we were joined by members of the construction industry (architects, engineers and project managers); they came in to talk to the children about their jobs and responsibilities and to give the children an opportunity to ask questions and be curious.
We are really excited about this project and would welcome anyone with experience within the construction industry who would happy to come work alongside our architects, project managers and engineers to contact us!
